LALISATTO

Great Beats, Terrible Lyrics: Lalisatto’s Debut EP Fails to Deliver

The lead single “PRESIDENT” carries the popularity and overall quality of Lalisatto’s debut EP with its infectious rhythm, but the remaining five tracks fail to live up to the high expectations it sets, blending into the background as far more forgettable cuts. While the EP maintains a fairly accessible dance-pop and rap production, the lyrics fall drastically short. Riddled with overused sexual references and an excessive reliance on slang throughout all six tracks, the writing completely overshadows the project’s decent production. Ultimately, LALISATTO comes across more as an ironic collection of songs than a genuine, quality piece of work.
